Operating a family lavender farm in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, we look different from the cattle ranches around here. Different is good.

The ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of perennials, lavender is rugged and offers benefits to just about everyone.

Representing lavender’s complete life cycle, Colorado Mountain Lavender produces starter plants, fields of naturally grown lavender, hand-harvested bundles, steam-distilled lavender essential oil and hydrosol, and culinary, bath, and skin-wellness products made at the farm. So you experience our lavender first-hand, plan to visit us and enjoy walking the fields set among majestic mountains.

 Smell the Difference

Elevation plays a part in the chemical composition of essential oil. The higher the elevation, the higher the ester content in the oil, contributing to greater floral notes.

As the first commercial lavender farm in South Central Colorado and higher than 99% of US commercial farms, Colorado Mountain Lavender experiences extreme weather changes, cold winter temperatures, and HIGH UV for some of the toughest lavender plants around. Good breeding stock (rancher talk) and great essential oil. But there is nothing like a smell test of your own to see the difference.
